The State of the Southeast Division and More...

Après deux semaines de compétition, il est devenu évident dont le meilleur et le pire dans la ligue.

Comme toujours, je ne peux pas louer Ottawa assez pour leur fort jeu continué. Une perte dans six jeux en marquant 22 buts ? Très impressionnant. Il semble comme si John Paddock sait qu'il fait et il s'améliorera seulement quand l'Émeri revient entre les pipes.

Je ne suis pas au courant de vous, mais j'ai cru que Pittsburgh serait 4-0 après leurs quatre premiers jeux ? Plutôt ils perdent leur ouvre-boîte à Caroline et goutte

You could see the pieces coming together for Pittsburgh during their game against the Leafs. All it takes is a game or two for Sid, Malkin and the rest to hit their stride and this league is in for a world of hurt. Fleury was looking a lot better as well.

The biggest concern is on defense, but that'll come around once the guys start putting more points on the board as well.

As for Atlanta something has to give there. I imagine they'll wait a few games too see what effect having Hossa back might have on the team. It looks like he coould be back right away now. If the team still struggles then I would guess either A) Coaching change, or B) Hossa gets moved

Of the two, I think a coaching change would be best. The Thrashers need to resign Hossa longterm, or trade him for a top-notch goalie. I'm starting to lose faith in Lehtonen and his groin.
